Kazak rugs have their origins in the Caucasian regions, particularly in the areas of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Our Kazak rugs come from Afghanistan, especially from the Ghazni region, and are mainly made from high-quality sheep's wool from the mountainous regions. The wool is carefully spun and dyed, often using natural dyes.
Our Kazak rugs have a knot density of 140,000 to 180,000 per square metre. Kazak rugs are characterised by their geometric patterns and bold colours. Typical designs include medallions, geometric shapes, stylised flowers and animal motifs. The patterns are often arranged symmetrically and radiate a lively energy. These rugs are known for their durability and versatility. They are suitable for use in living spaces as well as in high-traffic areas such as corridors and entrance areas.
